Minimum Wage Increasing to $17.40/hour

On June 1, 2024, the general minimum wage will increase from $16.75 to $17.40 per hour.

The minimum wage update includes increases for specific categories of workers, including residential caretakers, live-in home-support workers and camp leaders.

This wage increase applies to all provincially regulated workplaces.

Future increases to minimum wage will be determined by the previous years’ average inflation rate for BC.
