Stop Asian Hate: Make a Difference

It’s taken us a long time to say something because we wanted to listen first, then respond with purpose.

We listened to our Asian-Canadian friends, colleagues, and community members. We’ve read the reports on rising hate crimes and, no doubt, we’ve witnessed race-based discrimination first-hand.

Thank you to the Asian folks and Asian leaders who have so bravely made their voices heard. We hear you.

PortaLaw has zero-tolerance for racism or discrimination of any kind, including discrimination based on race, ethnicity, skin colour, and language. This zero-tolerance applies within our workplace to our employees, management, suppliers, and clients.

But we must do more than make statements. As a tangible action, we commit to providing all PortaLaw employees with bystander and allyship training as part of our onboarding process. Prejudice, bias, and systemic racism can only be conquered if we collectively #SaySomething and #DoSomething.
