Following a long and thorough assessment, PortaLaw is proud to be a Certified B Corporation!
What is a B Corp?
Certified B Corporations are for-profit companies that use the power of business to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. They meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
B Lab is the global and independent non profit that audits and certifies organizations in accordance with its set of social, environmental and governance standards. B Lab’s standards are based on best practices and developed through stakeholder research and input. When an organization is B Corp-certified, clients and consumers know that it meets B Lab’s high standards.
Obtaining B Corp certification is different from having legal benefit company status. PortaLaw has achieved both of these milestones.
After the initial audit and certification… comes the fun part!
PortaLaw will be getting to know its fellow B Corp neighbours by participating in events, networking and learning opportunities championed by B Lab’s local chapter: B Local Vancouver.
