Who I Represent + How I Help

Louis (he/they) is an employment lawyer who represents and advises workers across the employment spectrum. His clients include management and non-management level employees, executives, and contractors, all united by a common principle: they offer their honest labour in exchange for fair compensation.

Louis supports his clients through every stage of the employment relationship:

  • The hiring process, including reviewing and negotiating employment agreements, advising on compensation structures, and addressing discrimination concerns in recruitment.

  • During employment, including navigating workplace accommodations and leave entitlements, advising on discrimination and harassment issues, and enforcing contractual rights through advocacy and dispute resolution.

  • The end of employment (and post-employment matters), including negotiating severance packages, advising on dismissals and wrongful termination claims, and representing workers in litigation and tribunal proceedings.

Louis acts for workers across a wide range of industries -- both provincially and federally regulated. His clients include professionals, tradespeople, service and hospitality workers, healthcare and education staff, publicsector employees, nonprofit workers, technical specialists, and those in retail, logistics, and the gig economy.

If disputes cannot be resolved otherwise, Louis represents clients in court and tribunals, including litigating in the BC Supreme Court, BC Provincial Court, the Employment Standards Branch, the Human Rights Tribunal, WorkSafeBC, the Federal Labour Programme and the Canadian Human Rights Commission (and Tribunal).
