We are Paula Krawus and Erin Brandt.

We first met at a great Thai restaurant in town. The next thing you know, we spent two weeks driving north together in an RV to British Columbia’s border with the Yukon, to talk with local businesses about their workplace issues.

Fast forward a few years and our professional and personal friendship led to the creation of PortaLaw, a contemporary employment and human rights law firm. We know that our expertise is in this niche area, and we stick to it. From advising employees on their new contracts, to helping businesses implement new policy manuals, to fiercely advocating in court, we do it all.

You will notice very quickly that we relish that we are not just lawyers. At PortaLaw, we are friends, parents, social butterflies, business owners and hobbyists. We have big personalities and we are proud to bring our whole selves to work.
